An upmarket Super Spar in the Northern side of Johannesburg is looking for a Head Chef / Deli Manager/Manageress to run their Prepared Food offering & Deli. The kitchen prepares the food on a daily basis creating fine cuisine food solutions for their over 450 customers a day. The store specializes in bringing customers the best experience & quality.
· Own transport is essential and Johannesburg based.
· Menu Planning
· Creating recipes
· Order/purchase and maintain inventory of food and supplies according to the allocated budget
· Function planning and cooking
· Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
· Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards
The candidate will ideally have:
· 5 years’ experience
· Diploma in Culinary Arts
· Excellent Communication skills and fluent in English
· Leading and Motivation skills to manage the 25 staff members.
· Strong personality
· Customer relation skills
