Botswanacraft was established in 1970 by the Botswana Development Corporation to develop the rural based handicraft industry of the country.
The company has grown to be Botswana’s largest retailer and exporter of handicrafts. Privately owned since 1993 the company now directly employs over forty citizens and indirectly creates work for numerous rural craft producers throughout the country.
Botswanacraft complements locally made products by importing handicrafts from the southern African region and other developing countries.
We are dedicated towards improving the quality of life for rural Batswana and the management and utilisation of our natural resources.
The Courtyard Restaurant is tucked away behind the retail store, and is the ideal meeting place for a business breakfast or a relaxed lunch. We serve traditional food and a delicious selection from the more conventional menu.

Local Time (GMT+2)
The retail store is open Mon – Fri 0800 – 1800, and the restaurant serves breakfast from 0900, lunch from 1200. In the long run we’ll hopefully serve dinner too!
On Saturdays the retail store is open 0800 – 1700, the restaurant serves breakfast from 0900 and lunch from 1200.
On Sundays the retail store is open 0900 – 1300, currently the restaurant does not operate on Sundays.
