Started in 2010 with about 10 farmers, at The Talisman in Karen, OFM quickly grew to become a centre for great food. Now hosted on Saturday from 9am to 4pm at Purdy Arms, OFM welcomes certified organic farmers offering farm fresh organic produce and various healthy food businesses.
OFM provides Kenya Children’s Home with produce every month helping to give the children in their care nutritious, balanced meals.
While much is made of the environmental responsibility of going organic, it also means accepting a social responsibility. OFM has been lucky enough to be hosted for free since its creation, so in 2012 we devised a way to give back with the proceeds from our stall fees. OFM provides Kenya Children’s Home with produce worth Ksh. 150,000 every month, helping to give the children in their care nutritious, balanced meals.
